| Viewing
Lesson Videos From Your Course CDs |
| Due to a recent update to the Flash plug-in* you may be prevented
from viewing videos using the WRS Course CDs. The course CDs are optional since you can still progress through your course
by clicking the “Web Only” option, which plays video
directly from our website. The CDs facilitate the viewing videos
over a slow, dial-up Internet connection.
If you wish to continue using your CDs,you must install the Lesson Video Player. This free utility can be simply
downloaded onto your computer, enabling you to watch videos from
the course CDs.
Please read and follow the steps below:
|
| |
| 1. |
Select your computer platform.
> Windows
Lesson Video Player (982 k download)
> Macintosh
Lesson Video Player (1,740 k download)
When you click on the link, a download window
will appear:

save the file to your desktop.
Mac Users:

your course as usual. When you select a video

|
5. |
Go back to the Wilson Academy browser window
and follow the instructions.
Wilson Academy and the Lesson Video Player
will give you instructions each time a video needs
to be played.
*hint*
If you place the Lesson Video Player
and your Wilson Academy browser window next to
each other, watching videos may be easier:

|
To position your windows as seen above:
If your internet browser is currently maximized
(it takes up your entire screen), go to the top right
corner of the browser window and click the double
window (restore down) button (circled below):

This will set your browser as a floating window that
you can move around your desktop.
You may also need to adjust the height and width of
the window. You can do this by moving your mouse over
the edge of your browser window until the double arrow
cursor shows, and then drag the edge in:

You can then move the browser window and the Lesson
Video Player window next to each other (click the top
bar and hold the mouse button down while you move the
window with your mouse).
Thank you for participating in Wilson Academy!
